Last week, I wrote about the truly horrible idea which is the seared steak and egg wrap at Starbucks. Seriously, just say no. This morning, though, I found myself in Starbucks again and decided to make another go at one of their breakfast sandwiches. I tried the Starbucks ham and cheese croissant, and it was much better. The picture above is what it looks like in the display case.
What surprised me, however, is that what it looked like in the display case is a pretty good representation of what it looked like once it came out of the microwave:
This was the same basic idea as the steak and egg wrap. It was a frozen meal preserved in a plastic wrapper and microwaved before coming to me. However, the bread was flaky (in a good way) and tasted like butter. There was a good amount of ham, and combined with the cheese that meant there was enough protein to make this a good breakfast choice. My kid had a chocolate croissant at the same time, and he said he enjoyed it. This is a solid breakfast choice if you don’t feel like coffee.
