Earlier this year I wrote about the new breakfast menu being served at Rosa’s Cafe (a chain in Texas, principally in Western Texas), and yesterday I wrote that they appears to be offering dine-in breakfast service. I got the chance to try the new breakfast menu today, and I think I found a new favorite breakfast spot. It isn’t the same as my favorite greasy spoon breakfasts (regardless of cuisine), but it is a great choice for a leisurely weekend breakfast with the family. I wrote earlier that Rosa’s Cafe (a Texas institution, particularly in the West of the state) had started a new breakfast menu. At that time, I noted that breakfast was only available via the drive-through. My family and I ate dinner tonight at the location on 191 and Faudree in Odessa, and they had several posters up about breakfast. None of those said anything about the drive through, so I asked. Eventually, somebody found a manager who understood that I was not trying to order breakfast tacos at 8 p.m. and she confirmed that the Rosa’s Cafe breakfast menu is now available for dine-in. There seemed to be some confusion on my question, and I cannot personally confirm it. However, a lot of site to this traffic is generated from that previous post. I wanted to let everybody know, and I will confirm one way or the other as soon as I can.
UPDATE- Please see my post from September 22 for the new breakfast menu and details on their dine-in breakfast.

Noodles Midland is located in a strip mall at the corner of Midkiff and Andrews Highway, and we have been there twice now. It can get really crowded at peak hours, but it is still a great addition to the local scene. They serve dim sum and fresh pastas.
I have good news for fans of curry disappointed by the closure of the Indian restaurant formerly located at the Grand Texan hotel in Midland (or the closure of the Thai places, or the general lack of curry options). The chef from the Midland establishment has opened up Taste of India inside the Ramada at the intersection of JBS Parkway and Highway 80 in Odessa. I have eaten at this new Odessa Indian restaurant four times now, and while it isn’t my favorite curry house in the world, well, I have eaten there four times now. Taste of India is a great option to have in the area.
I was excited when I heard the Rosa’s Cafe on Faudree in Odessa was going to start serving breakfast. The menu was limited and it is drive through service, but breakfast was the last frontier in causing me to prefer Taco Cabana for my fast food Mexican fix. I finally got a chance to eat there this morning, and the ultimate Dine Drink Travel verdict is… Continue reading “New breakfast menu at Rosa’s “
