American Airlines Boeing 788 premium cabin. This cabin is marketed as first class on domestic flights and business class on international flights.

The Boeing 787-800, or 788, is a dual-aisle aircraft designed for long-haul travel. It has a number of amenities such as electronic window shades and mood lighting. While this aircraft is principally designed for international travel, the American Airlines Boeing 787-800 is sometimes used on domestic routes. I flew it from Las Vegas to Dallas recently. In December, I wrote about the American Airlines breakfast options from Las Vegas to Dallas. One thing that AA does exceptionally well is to give first class flyers choices. United domestic first class meal experience

Nuts and a drink start United first class meals.

I normally fly American, and I have previously reviewed their mid-con first class meal service. However, last week I took United on my way home from San Diego. What are United first class meals like? On a mid-con, the food and service are both pretty good. The challenge is that they don’t offer some of the options that American does.
