I wrote yesterday that Royal Caribbean was going to open their Summer 2019 Caribbean schedule much earlier than normal. They followed through, and the schedule opened today for 7 night cruises in the Caribbean in Summer 2019. You can make reservations now. That will be far too early for many folks, of course, but makes sense if:
- You know now that you need to travel in a very specific week.
- You want a particular cabin. For example, we booked one of the Villa Suites on the Liberty of the Seas. There is only one such suite on the ship, and they sell out early.
There weren’t any particular promotions, although prices seemed completely reasonable. I booked through Casino Royale, although it was too early for them to have discounts. Please do be aware that many cabins no longer have refundable deposits. We have a party of 10, and the Villa Suite (formerly the Presidential Family Suite) worked out to cost less per person than a Grand Suite– a couple of hundred dollars less per person. Happy cruising!
