Las Vegas Reviews

The view from Oscar’s Steakhouse looking out onto the Fremont Street Experience. This was one of our favorite Las Vegas reviews. Try the end cap and your favorite cocktail!

We love going to Las Vegas, because it gives us an opportunity to live large for a few days. Our Las Vegas Reviews are designed to be short and focused so you can decide where to stay, where to eat, and what you want to to. Please visit our Dine Drink Vegas Youtube page to see them. Dine Drink Travel maintains separate YouTube Pages for Dine Drink Vegas and Dine Drink Cruise because we want to make it really easy for you to find what you are looking for. If you are thinking about going for the first time, you might check out our video on the differences between Downtown (Fremont Street Experience) and the Las Vegas Strip. Most of our videos are a lot more focused than that, but it might be helpful to some folks.

If you are looking for a place to stay, one of the things we would look at is how large your group is. In March 2022 we went with a large group of guys. Downtown worked great, because we were able to stay at several different properties and find one another easily. Parts of the group stayed at the Golden Nugget, Circa, and at Golden Gate. Those are very different choices, but each is great in its own way. More often, though, we wind up staying on the Strip because of the wider range of things to do. Lately, we have stayed at The Palazzo, Mirage, Mandalay Bay, and Treasure Island. There was also an excellent stay at the Aria Sky Suites, but… happily all of our cameras died, the digital images were converted to physical negatives, and the negatives were destroyed in the fires of Mordor.

A huge part of any Las Vegas review always involves finding delicious places to eat. We have been to Gallagher’s, Prime, Top of Binion, Oscar’s, Barry’s, and so many great places. We eat at buffets, and we visit any VIP lounge we can. Come visit us!

Can’t make it to Vegas?

  • Try the Hotel Galvez in Galveston. This is one of my absolute favorite spots to spend a weekend.
  • Eat at the HubCap Grill in Galveston. This is my favorite hamburger, and their bourbon and beer game is on point.
  • Go to Miami and check out Little Havana.
