Earlier this week, I posted a video review of our Liberty of the Seas Grand Suite (#1298). We sailed on the Royal Caribbean ship for the 25 June 2017 departure out of Galveston. This was a great cabin for our family of 4. I know that many folks prefer to have text-based information, so…. here you go! This was a great cabin for mom, dad, and sons aged 9 and 11. The suite perks were also nice, but today I just want to focus on what the cabin itself was like. It was almost identical to the trip we took on the Navigator of the Seas in 2015 in another Grand Suite, although all of the pictures are from this sailing. Video review Liberty of the Seas Grand Suite Cabin 1298

This is a quick video walk through of the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas cabin 1298. This was a Grand Suite on the 25 June 2017 sailing out of Galveston, and we took the video on embarkation day. Please go to our cruises section to see more about this ship and the ports, and look for more over the coming days. We have also posted a more comprehensive written review which you may find useful.

Liberty of the Seas later this month

One of the things I do to get through meetings at work is keep a countdown calendar on my phone. That countdown lists how many days, hours, and minutes it is until my next big trip. That way when a meeting takes longer than is productive, or I need something to focus on keeping me out of jail when I would really like to beat someone roundly about the head and shoulders, all I have to do is look at my timer. “Ah hah. If I avoid committing any crimes or going to jail for the next however many days, I get to do something fun.” I booked a cruise well over a year ago, and when I initially started my countdown timer it read over 400 days. A long timeframe, that. The timer presently reads 24 days, 2 hours, and 43 minutes until I board the ship, and today I get to make an important linguistic change– I get to start talking about a cruise later this month.

Video review of Grand Suite cabin 1286 and public areas on the Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas

A short “video” walk-through of the Navigator of the Seas to follow up on an earlier review of text and pictures.. This was my first attempt at video for this blog, so it is a collection of pictures strung together with appropriate text. We stayed in Cabin 1286 on Deck 10, which was a Grand Suite.

Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas in Grand Suite Cabin 1286

Howdy, folks. I am taking a new cruise next year, which gave me occasion to recall a cruise from last year. In addition to the pictures below, you can see a short video. We left out of Galveston on the Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas and traveled from August 2-9, 2015. The itinerary was a sea day, followed by Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, and two more days at sea. This review is about the ship itself, and I will talk about the ports of call in a future post. The short version: Royal Caribbean isn’t as nice as it thinks it is, but this was still an excellent way to travel with children.
