Royal Caribbean Diamond Lounge

The Royal Caribbean Diamond Lounge on the Liberty of the Seas is a great space for passengers with high-level Crown and Anchor Status.

I hate standing in lines on vacation. Some lines are necessary, of course, but many of them can be avoided. On most ships, Royal Caribbean helps top-tier members of their Crown and Anchor program avoid this problem. The Royal Caribbean Diamond Lounge provides access to a concierge as well as many other benefits. This helps you avoid lines at guest services and other peak times. Here is what we saw in the Diamond Lounge during our July 2019 sailing on the Liberty of the Seas.

Perks Available in the Diamond Lounge

The Royal Caribbean Diamond Lounge on Liberty of the Seas is located inside the Olive or Twist bar (video link) on Deck 14. Diamond passengers have access to the lounge through their room key. It is available at all hours except on the morning you debark the ship.

The largest benefit of the Diamond Lounge is access the the concierge. S/he can help you book show tickets, spa reservations, and answer questions about your account. That can be a real time saver.

The other large benefit is the Royal Caribbean Diamond Lounge free drinks. There is a refrigerator with free beer and soft drinks available at all times. Some reports indicate that those drinks are not always available, but they were on our sailing. There is also a cocktail reception each evening before dinner. While some ships handle this by loading free drinks on your Seapass card, the Liberty of the Seas does it with a bar in the lounge. More importantly than the alcohol, there is also a coffee and cappuccino machine which is always available. Snacks are available for much of the day.

What’s not so great?

The Royal Caribbean Diamond Lounge on the Liberty of the Seas tries to crowd a lot of seats into a small space. The attached private outdoor space, however, is incredible.

The Diamond Lounge on the Liberty of the Seas crowds too many seats into a small space. It can also get quite crowded. The space is smaller than the suite lounge which is located on the other side of Olive or Twist. Unfortunately, more passengers have access to the Diamond Lounge. That can lead to crowding at peak times. As you can see from the picture above, however, it often provides a quiet and relaxing space. It also has a private outdoor patio which is an amazing space.

The only other downside is that the furniture isn’t all that nice. The furniture in the suite lounge is much nicer. Frankly, I preferred the appointments in the Olive or Twist bar immediately outside. However, this is still an excellent space. Free drinks, free coffee, and access to a concierge means the Royal Caribbean Diamond Lounge adds real value for loyal customers.
