Galveston City Council to consider Terminal 3

I reported yesterday that the Port of Galveston was considering the final agreement with Royal Caribbean for Terminal 3. The Port approved that agreement. Today, the Galveston City Council will also vote on the agreement. Specifically, item 12(B) on today’s agenda has the city attorney asking for permission to sign the agreement.

Royal Caribbean has also scheduled a signing ceremony. That signing ceremony will be after the city council meeting. I noted previously that there is an Allure of the Seas sized hole in the Royal Caribbean schedule starting November 2021. I suspect that Royal Caribbean has been unwilling to commit to sending the ship to Galveston until the ink dries on formal agreements. Look for more news soon on that front. Galveston Cruise Reviews will keep you posted with all the latest.
