This feels like a strange sentence to write, but here goes. I have good news for Galveston cruise fans. That was a lot of fun to write, so I think I will do it again. After months of no cruises at all, I have good news for Galveston cruise fans. I talked about it a little more on the YouTube channel, but it looks like Royal Caribbean still plans to build the new Galveston Terminal 3. As we discussed last year, that at least opens up the possibility of an Oasis Class ship in Galveston.

Allure of the Seas Galveston!

This is an artist’s rendering of the new Galveston Terminal 3. Royal Caribbean has already announced that the Allure of the Seas, an Oasis Class ship, will sail from it in November 2021. The pier will also be built to handle the forthcoming Icon Class.

Galveston City Council to consider Terminal 3

I reported yesterday that the Port of Galveston was considering the final agreement with Royal Caribbean for Terminal 3. The Port approved that agreement. Today, the Galveston City Council will also vote on the agreement. Specifically, item 12(B) on today’s agenda has the city attorney asking for permission to sign the agreement.
