I won’t lie. Sometimes when I am in Las Vegas, Vegas happens. That leaves me waking up in the morning searching for something good to eat and drink to ameliorate the consequences of my own decisions. Happily, on my last trip I found the best brunch in Las Vegas at 7th and Carson.
If you want to see what the place looks like, you should check out the YouTube review I put on Dine Drink Vegas. It is a fairly small establishment a block off the Fremont Street Experience in Downtown. Though easily walkable from anywhere in Downtown, it will require an Uber from the Strip. It is totally worth it. This is clearly a place where Las Vegas locals eat. We ate there on a Sunday morning. There was a family who was en route to a youth baseball game, a couple on a date, and a wide variety of other folks who weren’t in Vegas for vacation. Seeing the locals is always a sign that a place is good.

So what exactly makes 7th & Carson the best brunch in Las Vegas? Part of it is the locals flair. Part of it is the open kitchen. Some of it is the menu, which you can see in the video above. Mostly, though, what makes this spot is the owner. Liam is from Ireland, and he clearly imports a lot of his ingredients.
What is the food like at the best brunch in Las Vegas?
The night before I had hit a big win at the craps table. The appropriate celebration ensued. I normally order corned beef hash in that state, but I noticed something different on this menu. 7th and Carson offers a full Irish breakfast which is significantly larger than most of the similar plates I have had in actual Ireland. If you are bold, you might try the black and white puddings. If you are not, eat the Irish bacon on the plate. It is lean like Canadian bacon, but it tastes like American bacon.

Being brunch in Vegas, I also had a Bloody Mary. These are large, and my advice is very much to order a single ($12) rather than the $30 bottomless pour. My buddy John got the BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado sandwich) to which he added an egg. He also order a fresh French press coffee. Everything was great, and I really enjoyed meeting the owner. You should absolutely check this place out next time you are in town.
