Treasure Island Suite: For the Las Vegas Baller on a Budget

If you listen to the Dine Drink Vegas podcast, you have heard John poke gentle fun at me for, you know, liking nice things. In contrast, John refers to himself as the “baller on a budget.” Truth be told, my tastes quite frequently outpace my budget. A Treasure Island Suite is a great option when that happens. They have some fantastic spaces which usually don’t cost a lot. I have stayed in two different TI suites as well as a regular room. I can give you a pretty comprehensive Treasure Island review.

We put video on the Dine Drink Vegas Youtube page if you want to see what these spaces look like. I have stayed in a Treasure Island Tower Suite, a Treasure Island Petite Suite, and a regular Treasure Island room. They are all great options. Let’s start with my favorite part: Even the Petite Suite has two bathrooms. I cannot tell you how nice that is when you are travelling to Vegas with more than one person.

What are the Treasure Island Suite Options?

They have larger rooms that you can book by calling the casino, but normally the largest Treasure Island Suite available on the website is the Tower Suite. That is a Tower Suite behind the logo at the top of this story. I won’t lie– the room isn’t perfect. The fixtures are a little dated, and the decor is generally a pretty dark tone. However, the space is huge. There is plenty of room if you want to have friends over to watch the game you just bet on. More than anything, there is that extra bathroom.

The smallest Treasure Island Suite is the Petite Suite.

The TI Petite Suite is a significantly smaller room. You could still have people over to watch the game, but you would be a lot more crowded. Again, though, the Treasure Island Petite Suite has that second bathroom. To be fair, one bathroom has a tub and a toilet while the other has a shower and a toilet. Still, that is a huge win when you are getting ready or when someone comes to your room for a drink.

What Else do They Have at TI?

Let’s start with the one thing I just don’t like at Treasure Island– I am just not a fan of the restaurants. Gilley’s is a great place to listen to music, but I don’t care to eat there. Nothing else really catches my eye. However, that’s not a hug problem. You are across from the Wynn and the Palazzo. When the Mirage becomes the Hard Rock, it will be right there. The Davidoff Cigar Bar (link to our YouTube video) is one of favorite spots in Vegas. It is next door at the Fashion Show Mall. The location is great.

The Treasure Island Spa is a nice facility.

The TI Spa is also one of my favorite facilities. To be clear, it is significantly smaller than many. However, it is well-equipped. It is quiet. The Treasure Island Spa also has great treatments. They have a hot tub, cold plunge, steam room, and some kind of a Russian dry sauna. It is a great facility.

Some last notes. I tend to get very generous comps from TI, and they have the best blackjack rules on the Las Vegas Strip. TI is increasingly moving to electronic check in, and I do not like that. The VIP lounge is also very small, and you get coded in by your casino host rather than because you have a suite. So on balance is the Treasure Island the nicest spot in Las Vegas? It is not. However, a Treasure Island Suite is a phenomenal deal if you want something nice and need to save money on your next trip.
