Royal Caribbean Main Dining Room Saffron Menu

The Saffron dinner menu served Night 2 (sea day) on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas. This was the first formal night, and it was the lower key of the two formal nights.

The first full day of our cruise¬† this Summer on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas was spent at sea. That night our group assembled in the Main Dining Room (MDR) for the Saffron menu. This was the first formal night of the cruise. While we had the option of ordering it from room service since we were staying in a Grand Suite (hence the note about “exclusive to suite guests;” this was the MDR menu for everyone), but we enjoy the ritual of dinner every night. As luck would have it, this may have been my favorite dinner menu. Continue reading “Royal Caribbean Main Dining Room Saffron Menu”

Royal Caribbean Brasserie 30 lunch menu

The main dining room lunch menu on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas for the June 25, 2017 sailing.

I wrote yesterday about the fact that I am not a huge fan of the buffet on Royal Caribbean (RCCL). It was fine, I just don’t like huge crowds. While I have eaten lunch in Chops Steakhouse and at Giovanni’s, my preference is also to avoid paying extra for my lunch. Happily, the main dining room presents an excellent alternative. RCCL calls their main dining room lunch menu “Brasserie 30.” While I am not sure they hit any particular theme in Brasserie 30, it is probably the best free lunch option on the ship. Main Dining Room Breakfast on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas

Main Dining Room breakfast menu on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas as of the June 25, 2017 sailing.

One of my worries when we went on our Royal Caribbean cruise this Summer was whether there would be enough choices for breakfast. The buffet is fine, although I am not a huge fan. There is a private restaurant for suite guests, but then I couldn’t dine with my buddies who were staying in other cabins. Room service was an option, but I generally wake up before the rest of my family. Happily, the main dining room breakfast presented an excellent alternative at no additional cost. The menu is above. Ignore where it says “Exclusive to Suite Guests.” That means we could order these things through room service, but this is exactly the same menu as is open to everyone in the main dining room. It is open seating with waiter service, and it is a much calmer pace than eating in the buffet. Continue reading “Main Dining Room Breakfast on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas”

Mojo Main Dining Room Menu on Royal Caribbean

Mojo dinner menu on Royal Caribbean
The dinner menu from Night 1 on the Liberty of the Seas. The note saying “exclusive to suite guests” was only for room service; this was the main dining room menu for all passengers.

One of my favorite parts of cruises is eating in the main dining room (MDR). I like getting to know the waiters, and I like having the waiters getting to know me. We sailed Royal Caribbean and¬†cruised on the Liberty of the Seas earlier this year, and I am going to post all seven dinner menus from the MDR. Please ignore where it says “Exclusive to Suite Guests.” We were staying in a Grand Suite and had the option of ordering this via room service, but it was exactly the same menu as was available for everyone in the dining room. The “Mojo” main dining room menu was a great way to start the cruise. Continue reading “Mojo Main Dining Room Menu on Royal Caribbean”

Royal Caribbean Crown and Anchor Gold onboard benefits

Crown and Anchor Gold level benefits letter on Royal Caribbean.

One of the benefits of Royal Caribbean’s Crown and Anchor program is that you get discounts on things you buy onboard. Those discounts used to come in the form of a physical coupon book, and they are now instead discounts loaded on your SeaPass card. It is a little bit hard to find information on what those discounts are, so I decided to post about the benefits we received when we sailed on the Liberty of the Seas this Summer. The picture above is of the letter which was waiting for us in our stateroom. Our Crown and Anchor gold onboard benefits were OK, but a little underwhelming.
