One of my worries when we went on our Royal Caribbean cruise this Summer was whether there would be enough choices for breakfast. The buffet is fine, although I am not a huge fan. There is a private restaurant for suite guests, but then I couldn’t dine with my buddies who were staying in other cabins. Room service was an option, but I generally wake up before the rest of my family. Happily, the main dining room breakfast presented an excellent alternative at no additional cost. The menu is above. Ignore where it says “Exclusive to Suite Guests.” That means we could order these things through room service, but this is exactly the same menu as is open to everyone in the main dining room. It is open seating with waiter service, and it is a much calmer pace than eating in the buffet.
It is definitely worth checking out. The advantage of going to the MDR is that you receive waiter service and a quiet environment. You can sit at whatever size table you want. You do not have the opportunity to have your regular waiter from dinner unless you happen to get lucky. Then again, most of the waitstaff is very good. Other delicious options in the main dining room include:
- Brasserie 30 lunch menu
- Mojo dinner menu
- Saffron menu for the first formal night
- Basil menu
- Pomodoro menu
- Shiitake menu
- Jasmine menu for lobster night
- Pimiento menu
